AWeber is a system recognized by many experts and professionals as one of the best e-mail marketing platforms that continues to impress with its high-quality autoresponders and rich feature set. The platform is provided with high-quality autoresponders that facilitate customer engagement and interaction. The system also offers advanced integration options, including advanced business tools and systems such as WordPress, Zendesk, Salesforce, WordPress, PayPal, and LeadPages, to name a few.
Customer support is also a significant asset for AWeber. The company employs a team of email marketers with high levels of expertise, responsiveness, and efficiency. For beginners in e-mail marketing, AWeber offers live webinars for additional instruction and training. Access to data and reports also provides the information needed to make better decisions, design, and implement better strategies and succeed.
But how does AWeber support your team? You can use it to manage contacts flexibly and efficiently, create successful and visually appealing campaigns, and create personalized subscriber lists. In the list, you can add ten contacts to perform by entering their records containing contact information and behavior. However, AWeber will do more than categorize contacts: it will provide insight into where customers come from, how they buy, or sign up for a service. With this historical overview, the user can make smarter, more informed business decisions.
AWeber offers a somewhat different mechanism than similar marketing systems for campaign creation. You can use it to create a tracking series and autoresponders, as well as create your own personalized messages using a handy drag-and-drop tool. Pre-built templates are available, but users are encouraged to develop their own more specific business templates.

One aspect of Aweber’s pricing Structure that may appeal to potential users is that all features are available on all packages. Unlike some competing products, you do not need more expensive plans to unlock certain features.
That said, the features available in Aweber – as we will see below – are not necessarily as complete as those you can find in competing for email marketing solutions.
The removal of your account is quite simple. There is a “Close My Account” button in the billing options of your account, as you wish. This will bring you to a series of popups and pages to close your account.
The only time you may need to contact technical support is if you want a refund. For example, if you paid 12 months in advance and wished to cancel after a month, its right to try to get a refund.
There is no AWeber refund policy; please contact support to request one. Claims are assessed individually, but as we have seen, Aweber’s support is as effective as possible. I would not worry too much about that.
Although AWeber was one of the first to introduce autoresponders, it is no longer in the foreground. However, AWeber is always adding new features, such as automation, to try to keep up with the competition.
I want to focus on the features presented here so that I do not go into the details of standards, such as the drag-and-drop e-mail editor, or the ability to import existing e-mail subscribers.
In addition to broadcast (one-time) emails, you can also create a series of emails called “campaign” in AWeber.
A campaign builder is an easy-to-use tool. Just drag one of the three available actions (send a message, wait, and apply tag) in the left pane.
You can build a basic autoresponder by joining message blocks with “waiting” blocks. More importantly, you also have access to more advanced automation options.
By clicking on any message you have entered, you can choose an email (which you have already created) to send. Click again on this block of emails to open a panel on the right side of the screen with automation options.
You can decide to add or remove a tag depending on whether a subscriber opens an email or clicks on a link located there.
Because campaigns can be triggered by tagging a subscriber, here’s how one campaign can trigger another.
While this is good for you, if you are a small business owner, it will probably not be enough if you are an advanced email marketing specialist. Other email marketing tools offer more triggers (for example, they visited a URL on your site, they did not open email, etc.), as well as conditional blocks (actions different depending on the behavior of the user).
This is a relatively new feature that simplifies split testing to optimize your results.
Under “Messages” in the menu of your panel, there is a clear label for “Split Tests.” Note that this only works for broadcast emails.

You can then assign draft e-mails created for each segment before you schedule sending e-mails.
The sharing test feature is somewhat limited compared to other email marketing tools that allow you to test a small portion of your test list and automatically send the winner to the rest of your list.
You can, however, try different approaches and see which ones are best for your audience.
Every time I visit the AWeber website, the number of integrations available seems to be increasing. This will allow you to connect AWeber to any other tool you use easily.

The standard AWeber form templates are ugly and have not changed for over a decade, to the best of my memory.
However, the form builder has been improved and allows almost total control over the appearance of forms. So you’ll need a little work, but it’s easy to create compelling forms to incorporate into your site.
Note that you can only create embeddable forms. If you want to develop other types, such as a pop-up form, you must use integration with a third-party tool, such as OptinMonster.
There are not many other email marketing platforms with mobile apps.
AWeber has three, and all are available on Android and iOS.
Each mobile application has a specific purpose:
AWeber Stats allows you to see your live email statistics.
The Atom app allows you to add subscribers to your phone in person (you can put it in a store or use it during an event).
Curate allows you to create emails to send.
It’s pretty annoying to have to download three different AWeber apps if you want all the features, but it’s still a good option.
It drives me nut to think that some other email marketing platforms make subscribers to opt-in again when they are imported. Most do not give you the option of allowing new subscribers to require just one or two opt-ins.
But AWeber does it. You can choose whether to require imported or new subscribers to confirm their email addresses.
If you know you have new high-quality subscribers, choosing a unique option can help you improve your conversion rate.
AWeber is quite easy to navigate. There are no hidden parameters, and all you need is in the two main menus.
Forms, subscribers, and reports are typical labels that are self-explanatory.
But some parts are not intuitive. The mail portion of your account includes everything from broadcast email to split test, to campaign builder.
Although the campaign builder is intuitive and easy to use, you can first spend time looking for it.
Also, you will see your “current list” at the top of your account all the time. Each contact list you keep is separate from one another. This may be a good thing, but you can also accidentally forget to change the list and create a form for the wrong list (and have to do it over again from scratch).
Tags are an essential part of email marketing in AWeber. You can assign several tags to subscribers, either manually or based on the activity (for example, clicking a link in an email). They allow you to send them specific e-mails via broadcasts or e-mails in campaigns.
You can also create advanced subscriber segments at any time, based on tags, sales, behavior, and so on. You can target segments with emails, similar to tags, but more accurately.
AWeber has hundreds of e-mail templates. Many of them are obsolete, but AWeber continues to add new ones, and there are several attractive templates to choose from.
The best feature which makes your life easier is the ability to save templates quickly. When you edit an email in the drag-and-drop editor, you can save it as a template at any time.
If any of your e-mails are similar, you can create a template and reuse it later to save time by customizing your e-mail.
Once you drop an image block into an email in the editor, you can upload your image or choose from the AWeber image gallery.
There are more than 6,500 free images in the gallery, which you can search by keyword or browse by category. You will save yourself the stress if you have to find pictures regularly to add to emails.
AWeber currently has two report suites: the old classic version and a newly redesigned version.
Older reports contain a wide variety of reports that you can run, but most of them are not very useful. It seems that AWeber has recognized it and focuses only on the essential elements of the new reporting interface.
However, some, such as those who focus on unsubscribes, are useful and are not yet included in the new reports.
For now, you may need to switch between the two interfaces.
The new reports are your only option so that I will focus on them.
AWeber’s dashboard and analytics give you an attractive, easy-to-use look. It proposes five main reports, which include a chart and a table:
If you want to export the data, your only option is via a CSV file. A convenient button is at the bottom of each report.
There are no customization options. You get the data in the table on this report page.
It’s always useful, but pretty basic.
To get an idea of the comparison between AWeber and other marketers, we put together this comparison with some of its most popular competitors.
AWeber and MailChimp are robust e-mail marketing platforms that simplify the process of sending professional e-mails and growing your lists. MailChimp includes a free forever plan for up to 2,000 subscribers, while the AWeber rate starts at $ 19 a month for up to 500 subscribers and increases after that.
Several users have reported that MailChimp offers more advanced predefined newsletter templates and more robust customization features. However, with AWeber’s 700+ model library, AWeber still provides several options for newsletter templates.
We found that AWeber autoresponders are a bit easier to configure than MailChimp, although they are limited to the simple automation function. If you value customer service, AWeber wins the hand. MailChimp customer support is only online (and some support channels are only available to paying customers), while Aweber has a phone, email, live chat, and an online knowledge base to help customers.
Constant Contact and AWeber are two of the oldest providers of e-mail marketing and have similar features. Autoresponders are easy to configure on all of them and offer outstanding customer support. Both companies integrate an email builder and provide a wide range of templates (700+ for AWeber and 400+ for Constant Contact).
AWeber stands out for its marketing automation because its tags assigning capability gives users more flexibility. Constant Contact also has limited storage space, limited to 2GB, and only allows A / B testing of the subject line, while Aweber offers full design split testing. AWeber is also slightly cheaper than Constant Contact per subscriber. However, Constant Contact provides a free 60-day trial to users who sign up through a referral link.
AWeber is an excellent choice if you’re new to the job and have limited technical experience because the knowledge center and customer support are some of the best in the industry. It’s also a smart choice for small businesses that do not have complex e-mail marketing requirements and want to create simple autoresponders.
However, the lack of automation features can be a problem as you grow up, and duplicating subscribers can cause headaches if not properly managed, as they can quickly increase your total cost.

So the support options are great, but what about the quality of the support? I decided to test the AWeber support.
I started with a phone call, asking to add multiple users to an account. Unfortunately, the answer was no (for now), but the support itself was a good experience. It took a few minutes to talk to a support representative, who was polite and spoke very clearly.
I then opened a live chat to ask about the AWeber payment options because a broken link was on the pricing page.
Within 60 seconds, I got my answer. It’s a customized answer, not a template. Again, the technical support representative was very polite – you can not ask for more than that.
Finally, I submitted a ticket, and it was at this point that a support representative decided not only to answer my question but to go further.
AWeber has all the basics you need for a small business and trains novice users with a large number of articles, videos, and podcasts. The problem is that apart from customer service, there is no specific area in which they stand out in terms of resources.
This would not be a problem if you are budget-conscious newbie, but the costs are comparable to those of other email tools such as ActiveCampaign or GetResponse, which offer much more for the same price. And these other tools provide not only more advanced features, but also a more visually appealing experience. The most significant thing is that no matter how many subscribers you have, each price level gives customers full access to your features. But these features may not yet be sufficient for the asking price.
